A legendary circuit
The Belgian Grand Prix is a Formula 1 motor race that forms part of the Formula 1 World Championship. The famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit has witnessed a thousand and one legendary stories and performances since the 1920s, when drivers drove frighteningly loud and powerful racing cars over an earth track. In 1939, the circuit’s famous spectacular curve was dreamed up and became a reality. The Grand Prix race is over 308.176km or 44 laps of the circuit, which was shortened from its original 14km to 7km in 1983. The Grand Prix is held here every year, and there are always plenty of surprises, suspense and emotions. Among the spectators, the Belgian Grand Prix is one of the most popular and enjoyable of the season, and almost 60,000 of them attend each year.
Follow in the footsteps of a Formula 1 driver!
Among Formula 1 drivers and their support teams, the Spa-Francorchamps circuit is acknowledged to be the most beautiful in the world. The circuit traces a “magic triangle” in the Ardennes between Francorchamps, Malmedy and Stavelot and the drivers have used it to build their strength of character in a grandiose natural setting.
Driving, speed, records, sensations… the circuit is synonymous with emotions and giddiness. Now you can experience it yourself in a “driver’s baptism” on the circuit or at one of the special general public Open Days.
Enjoy your day in the magnificent Ardennes region by taking part in a behind-the-scenes guided tour of the circuit and drinks or a meal on the terrace of the Pit Brasserie, which offers panoramic views of the circuit!
